Squrt 23 |
Squrt 23 is a 1989 Pierce Arrow with
a 54-foot articulating Squrt device. Capable of carrying six firefighters,
it can pump 1,500 gallons per minute, has 500 gallons of water and holds
1,900 feet of various sized hose. The Squrt device is capable of delivering
1,000 gallons of water per minute in almost any position it is deployed.
Squrt 23 also has an on-board foam system that can be used for Class
A and B fires.

Engine 23-2 |
| Engine 23-2 is a 1976 Pierce Oshkosh pumper.
Engine 23 was originally designed as a water supply engine and has slowly
been converted to handle duties as a back-up attack engine. Engine 23 is
equipped with a 1,500-gallon-per-minute pump, 500 gallons of water and
1,200 feet of supply line on two hydraulic reels. |

Engine-23-1 |
| 23-1 is a 1985 Pierce Lance Pumper with a 1250 GPM two-stage Waterous
pump and a 750 gal tank. The Engine is equipped with 100' of 1"trash
line, (3) 200' 2"" preconnects, (1) 200' 3" preconnect, 200' of 3"
spare hose and 1000' of 5" supply line. It will carry all of the loose
equipment that was on Squrt 23 and has 3kw Onan Generator. 23-1 was
purchased from Goshen Fire in Chester County back in February of 2005 and has had some minor modifications and updates since its purchase |

Snorkel 23 |
| Snorkel 23 is a 2002 Pierce truck with
an 85-foot Snorkel articulating platform, which can deliver 1,000 gallons
per minute. Snorkel 23 has seating for seven firefighters and carries a
full complement of firefighting tools and specialized tools. Snorkel 23
also carries over 200‘ of ground ladders. Snorkel 23 is the primary
response apparatus for the departments Rapid Intervention Team. |

Rescue 23 |
| Rescue 23 is a 1996 Chevy Kodiak chassis
with a Hackney body. It has seating for up to 5 firefighters and carries
a variety of specialized equipment. This equipment can be used to remove
people from vehicles that were in accidents, rescue people trapped by fast
moving water, and control hazardous materials that may have been spilled.
Rescue 23 also provides additional support items needed at a fire scene
such as lighting, saws, salvage equipment and ice water for rehabilitation
after a fire. |

| 23-7 & 23-7A are 2004 Road Rescue Ultra Medic Ambulances which are
certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. 23-7 and 23-7A
carry a wide variety of life saving equipment including a Physio
Control AED, as well as basic rescue tools. In addition these vehicles also carriy a wide assortment of fire ground rehabilitation supplies |

Medic 23 |
| Medic 23 is a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and is a Pennsylvania state-certified
advanced life support unit. This unit provides paramedic and ALS
equipment when needed. Medic 23 is staffed by a paramedic from Riddle
Memorial Hospital 24 hours per day.

Medic-23A |
| Medic 23A is a 2006 McCoy Miller Type II ambulance and is a
Pennsylvania state-certified advanced life support unit. This unit
provides paramedic and ALS equipment when needed. Medic 23 is staffed by
Media Fire Company volunteer paramedics on a as needed basis,

23-8 |
| 23-8
is a 2001 Ford Expedition and serves as our Incident Command vehicle.
The designated duty officer uses the vehicle to respond to incidents
and coordinated all activities from it. The vehicle is equipped with
multiple radios, maps and preplans for Media Borough, has water distribution
maps to verify adequate water sources and has an extensive library for
looking up information on chemicals. In addition it can be used as a
quick response vehicle if our two ambulances are committed on others
calls. As with all of our other vehicles, 23-8 has a |

| Basic Life Support bag, oxygen equipment
and an Automatic External Defibrillator. Media Fire Company was one of
the first companies to equip each of its vehicles with all of this equipment
back in 1994. |
