Working House Fire in Upper Providence

Around 10:30am Monday morning, Companies 73 (Rose Tree), 23 (Media), Tower 44 (Springfield), and 53 (Broomall) for the RIT were dispatched to the 100 block of Carlton Place for smoke coming from a garage. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a working fire when police went on location with fire and smoke showing. Quint 73 was first on location confirming the police report and laid a supply line. Squrt 23  arrived on location and pumped 73's hyrdant while the crew went up to assist Quint 73's crew advance attack lines to the seat of the fire. The second alarm was struck bring additional crews to the scene. Crews for 23 assisted with extinguishment, salvage,overhaul and rehab. Units were on location for about 3 hours before returning.
