Around 10:30am&nbsp;Monday morning, Companies 73 (Rose Tree), 23 (Media), Tower 44 (Springfield), and 53 (Broomall) for the RIT were dispatched to the 100 block of Carlton Place for smoke coming from a garage. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a working fire when police went on location with fire and smoke showing. Quint 73 was first on location confirming the police report and laid a supply line. Squrt 23&nbsp; arrived on location&nbsp;and pumped 73's hyrdant while the crew went up to assist Quint&nbsp;73's crew&nbsp;advance attack lines to the seat of the fire. The second alarm was struck bring additional crews to the scene. Crews for 23 assisted&nbsp;with extinguishment, salvage,overhaul and rehab. Units were on location for about 3 hours before returning.  <![CDATA[Throughout this past week Media Fire Company was busy with all types of calls. It started on Tuesday when Media had 3 calls. Two automatic fire alarms and a gas leak. Around 5 am on Wednesday, Media was dispatched along with Concordville (59), and Chester Heights (71). Upon arrival 71-9B asked fire board to hit the second alarm. Snorkel 23 arrived on location and performed a primary search and throwing ladders. Crews remained on location until released by 59-9. Later in the afternoon Green Ridge (63) was dispatched to 418 Manor Drive for a dwelling fire. 63-9A arrived on location with smoke showing. Media was added for the second RIT. Snorkel 23 stood by until being released by 63 command. During the house fire Media was hit for two automatic fire alarms which turned out to be nothing. Later that night Media was dispatched along with Springfield (44) and Garretford (20) for a building fire. Snorkel 23 made the response and was sent to the roof to investigate a heater backfire.  <![CDATA[Around 18:41 Media was dispatched along with Concordville(59), Chester Heights(71), Longwood(CC25), and Bethel(66) to 949 Baltimore Pike for smoke in the building. After investigating 59 command found no evidence of fire and recalled the assignment. On the way home form Concordville, Media recieved a copy and respond to Aston township for a chimeny fire. RIT 23 set up in front of the building for about 30 minutes until packing up and being sent into man power pool. ...]]>

 <![CDATA[Around 5:15 Company 64 (Edgemont) was dispatched to 116 Gradyville Road for a dwelling fire. 59-2 went on location with heavy fire showing. Media was added on to the dispatch when upgraded to a working fire.&nbsp;Snorkel 23 made the response as the RIT team and set up on the a side of the house. Companies were on location for about 3 hours until released by 64-9. Later that night Media was dispatched with Company 41 (Newtown Square) on a chimney fire. It ended up being a fire in the crawl space, once located the fire was quickly extinguished. Then to end it out, Media was dispatched to 800 Avondale Road with Company 65 (Garden City) for the automatic fire alarm which turned out to just be burnt food.  <![CDATA[&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; This weekend was a busy one for the RIT. On Saturday morning companies 59, 64 and 23 for the RIT where dispatched to the area of Locksley Rd and Christina Dr for a possible building fire. Units arrived on location to find a house fully involved. RIT arrived on location and split into two teams to cover the&nbsp;front and rear of building. Members stood by until released by 59 command.
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Later Saturday night the RIT was&nbsp;special called on&nbsp;the second alarm&nbsp;for a building fire at &nbsp;Coventry Crossing Condominium in Chester Heights.&nbsp;Snorkel 23 arrived on location and took over RIT duties on side&nbsp;B and C&nbsp;from RIT 63 so they could go into service with&nbsp;the rest of their&nbsp;company&nbsp;to assist&nbsp;with the&nbsp;fire fight. No RIT services where required. Units stood by until released by 71-9.
