2nd RIT in Aston

nbspEarly this morning Company 23 was dispatched to assist Company 17 Aston on a working fire with entrapment. Victims were extricated quickly by the first arriving units. RIT 23 stood by side C of the building. No RIT services were needed.

The officers and members of Media Fire Company were heart broken to find out that one of our great friends, Joe Montgomery had passed away. Joe was stationed at Media Fire Company while working for Riddle Hospital for many years. Joe was always one that would cheer anyone up on a bad day with his laugh and warm hugs.

Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter 1
Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter 2*
EVOC
Pump Operations 1
RIT Operations
NIMS 100,200,700,800
HazMat Operations level with current refresher
Vehicle Rescue Technician (DOH or NFPA)
Water Rescue Operations level
Current Health Care Provider CPR and AED certification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Interior Firefighter
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Driver/Operator.
Preferred Training:
Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter II certification*
NREMT or PA. Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician
Aerial apparatus Driver/Operator.

Engine Company Operations
Truck Company Operations 1 and 2
