The Media Fire & Hook & Ladder Co. No 1 is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full Time Firefighter/ Driver to supplement our daytime volunteer staff.
This is a Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm position. We offer a competitive salary, medical benefits, paid vacation and holidays, along with retirement plan with employer match.

21 years of Age
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License with clean PENN DOT record
PA. Commonwealth Back Ground Check
PA. Commonwealth Child Abuse Clearance
FBI Clearance
Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening

Fire Qualifications:
Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter 1
Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter 2*
EVOC
Pump Operations 1
RIT Operations
NIMS 100,200,700,800
HazMat Operations level with current refresher
Vehicle Rescue Technician (DOH or NFPA)
Water Rescue Operations level
Current Health Care Provider CPR and AED certification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Interior Firefighter
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Driver/Operator.
Preferred Training:
Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter II certification*
NREMT or PA. Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician
Aerial apparatus Driver/Operator.
Aerial Operations
Engine Company Operations
Truck Company Operations 1 and 2
Firefighter Survival
