Providing fire protection to Media Borough, a ¾-square-mile town consisting of residential properties, a commercial district and governmental buildings. Providing emergency medical services to Media and Rose Valley Boroughs, Upper Providence Township and part of Nether Providence Township. In 2005 , the Media Fire Company responded to more than 3,000 calls for assistance.

The officers and members of Media Fire Company were heart broken to find out that one of our great friends, Joe Montgomery had passed away. Joe was stationed at Media Fire Company while working for Riddle Hospital for many years. Joe was always one that would cheer anyone up on a bad day with his laugh and warm hugs.

Joe you will be missed by many in this county. We will take it from here.

Pump Operations 1
RIT Operations
NIMS 100,200,700,800
HazMat Operations level with current refresher
Vehicle Rescue Technician (DOH or NFPA)
Water Rescue Operations level
Current Health Care Provider CPR and AED certification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Interior Firefighter
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Driver/Operator.
Preferred Training:
Pro Board or IFSAC Firefighter II certification*
NREMT or PA. Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician
Aerial apparatus Driver/Operator.
